Koulourakia-Greek Butter Twist Cookies

These cookies are a Greek Easter tradition.  If you’ve been to any Greek festivals, you have surely seen these cookies.  Made with butter, sugar, flour, Madagascar vanilla extract, eggs, hand microplaned fresh orange zest, and freshly squeezed orange juice, the cookie dough is separated into small pieces and hand rolled and twisted into 4-5 inch long cookies and finished with an egg wash and a sprinkling of sesame seeds.  The perfect finish with the after meal cup of coffee!
